Dr. Josse received her doctoral degree in exercise physiology and nutrition from the Department of Kinesiology at McMaster University (Hamilton, ON). She then completed a CIHR- and Canadian Diabetes Association-funded postdoctoral fellowship in the Department of Nutritional Sciences at The University of Toronto. She is currently an Assistant Professor in the School of Kinesiology and Health Science, Faculty of Health, York University (Toronto, ON.). As a nutritional scientist and exercise physiologist, her general research area combines clinical nutrition and exercise science in the context of both health and chronic disease, and centres on lifestyle modification strategies, training regimens and acute exercise and feeding interventions that explore the effects of different exercise modalities and/or post-exercise feeding, as well as overall dietary intakes or patterns to facilitate healthy changes in body composition, body weight, bone and cardiometabolic risk in different human populations across the lifespan, including active young people and people with obesity and increased chronic disease risk.
