Lupus is a chronic disease with a variety of symptoms caused by inflammation in one or more parts of the body. Having a condition like Lupus can be a risk factor associated with osteoporosis and related fractures.  Join Dr. Carrie Ye and Dr. Stephanie Keeling as they discuss the connection between Lupus and Bone Health.

Dr. Carie Ye

Carrie Ye is a rheumatologist at the University of Alberta Hospital/Kaye Edmonton Clinic. She specialized in osteoporosis and rheumatic toxicities of immunotherapy for cancer. She is the Medical Director of the Multidisciplinary Bone Health Clinic and the Program Director of the Northern Alberta Osteoporosis Program.
Dr. Stephanie Keeling

Dr. Stephanie Keeling

Stephanie Keeling is a Professor of Medicine and rheumatologist at the University of Alberta. She participates in clinical research in inflammatory arthritis and systemic lupus erythematosus and established the Lupus Clinic of Northern Alberta. She works with the Canadian Rheumatology Association and Canadian Network of Improved Outcomes in SLE in guidelines for lupus diagnosis and management.
