If you have been prescribed treatment, specifically a bisphosphonate to prevent fragility fractures, before beginning treatment it’s important to speak with your dentist and doctor about your dental health.
Join us with Dr. Noémie Thériault and oral and maxillofacial surgeon Dr. Michel Fortin on September 15th for Dental Health and Osteoporosis Treatments and learn about what you and your dentist should know before beginning osteoporosis treatment and what do you need to do for your dental health or any dental work prior too or during the course of treatment.

Dr. Noémie Thériault obtained her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Université Laval in 2019, followed by a General Practice Residency in 2020.
Seeking to focus her practice on the specific needs of older adults and medically compromised patients, Dr. Thériault pursued advanced training in gerodontology. This training has allowed her to develop particular expertise in providing oral health care to patients with complex medical conditions and age-related needs.
She is a member of Osteoporosis Canada’s Scientific Advisory Council and currently practices exclusively in the public sector, where her daily practice is dedicated to providing dental care to a population primarily composed of older adults and medically compromised patients.

Dr. Michel Fortin obtained his specialist degree in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from Université Laval in Quebec City. He also completed the following degrees: a Master of Science (M.Sc.) and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Neuroanatomy at Université Laval, as well as a Fellowship in Maxillofacial Tumor Surgery and Reconstruction at the University of Miami.
Dr. Fortin is an Associate Professor at Université Laval. He practices his specialty in private practice in Québec city at Maxillo Québec and at Hôpital de l’Enfant-Jésus, part of the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire de Québec (CHU).
