Customer Service Ambassadors – Toronto

  • To support charitable gaming

  • 2-4 hours per month, including initial training

  • Hours include evenings and weekends

  • On-site volunteer

Location: Rama Gaming House, Scarborough, Ontario

Summary of Role

Osteoporosis Canada is a member of the Kennedy Road Charitable Gaming Association (KRCGA), fundraising program, and our organization is governed by the Ontario Charitable Gaming Association (OCGA) and the Ontario Lottery Corporation (OLG) for this fundraising program.

Volunteer Customer Service Ambassadors allow OC to receive funds each month dedicated to Toronto programming and resources on bone health and osteoporosis.

For every cGaming session OC volunteers host, Osteoporosis Canada receives a share of the monthly proceeds from Rama Gaming House in Scarborough.

Hours and Commitment:

  • A minimum of one shift each month
  • 2-4 hours per shift (shifts can include daytime, evenings and weekends)
  • Act as a back up for other designated shifts
  • Training as required by Osteoporosis Canada, the KRCGA and OLG

Requirements:

  • You must be over the age of 18
  • Adhere to the dress code (collared shirt provided by OC, dark slacks (no jeans). A full dress code description and cGaming policy document to be provided.

Volunteer Role and Responsibility:

  • Arrive 10 minutes before the start of the shift and stay for the duration of the shift
  • Greet Rama Gaming House Centre patrons at the door and assist staff with managing logistics, e.g. assisting with count to manage capacity restrictions
  • Provide some general information about Osteoporosis Canada to patrons
  • Thank patrons for coming

Osteoporosis Canada depends on the generous support of donors and volunteers to help realize its vision and mission. The organization collects your personal information in order to contact you regarding your volunteer submission, process your donation, issue your tax receipt and provide periodic updates and information about the organization. Accordingly, all staff, volunteers and visitors will be required to provide one of the following prior to entry of OC national office or locations where OC business in conducted:

  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccine administration as per the following requirements: proof of all required doses of a COVID-19 vaccine approved by Health Canada prior to 14 days of the employee’s return to office (two doses) or
  • Written proof of a medical reason or other human rights reason the person cannot be vaccinated. Where proof of a medical reason is applicable it must be provided by either a physician or nurse practitioner and must set out:
    • That the person cannot be vaccinated against COVID-19; and
    • The effective time period for the medical reason (i.e. Permanent or time-limited).
