Osteoporosis Canada is committed to the removal of anti-Black systemic barriers negatively affecting the lives of Black Canadians.
Osteoporosis Canada is committed to anti-racism and anti-oppression, and stands in solidarity with BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Colour) communities demanding truth, justice, and equality.
We recognize that systemic racism pervades Canadian society and we are firmly committed to anti-racism and anti-oppression. We will purposefully identify, discuss, and challenge issues of race and skin color and the impact(s) they have on our organization, its systems, and the people we serve. We will also challenge ourselves to understand and correct any inequities we may discover within Osteoporosis Canada.
We understand that it is incumbent upon us to actively work to address systemic issues within our own organization and in the space we occupy. We will continue to listen and learn from BIPOC leadership, and to educate ourselves on more effective means of allyship.
