Dr. Michou is a clinical investigator at the Centre de Recherche du CHU de Québec and rheumatologist at the CHU de Québec since November 2007, and associate professor at the Department of Medicine of the Laval University, Quebec. Dr. Michou is the principal investigator of several academic research projects in the field of bone diseases. She supervises master and PhD students, as well as clinical research projects of rheumatology and internal medicine residents.
She is the author or coauthor of 77 scientific refereed articles, 142 oral or poster communications in scientific congresses, 78 invited conferences and 43 articles of medical continuing education for rheumatologists or family doctors.
Research interests of Dr. Michou are human genetics of bone and joint diseases, particularly Paget’s disease of bone, rare bone diseases, osteoporosis, atypical femur fractures and rheumatoid arthritis.
She has received the Jeffrey Shiroky award in 2021 for her work of Paget’s disease of bone.
