Join Osteoporosis Canada in Sudbury, Ontario as we present Dr. Jordi Cisa, Orthopaedic Surgeon and Joanne McKee, Physiotherapist to speak about how orthopaedic surgeons and physiotherapists can be an integral part of your healthcare team in managing your osteoporosis.

Dr. Cisa and Joanne McKee, PT will share information on preparing for a hip surgery, recovery, preventing fractures and living well with osteoporosis.

Dr. Jordi Cisa MD,FRCSC

Specializations: General Surgery, Neurology & Neuro Surgery, Chronic Diseases, Hip and Knee Orthopaedic Surgery and General Trauma

Dr. Jordi Cisa is an orthopedic surgeon trained in Spain, the United States, and Canada. He has been practicing in Sudbury for over 30 years, managing elective musculoskeletal conditions primarily involving the lower extremities, such as hip and knee disorders. He also treated acute injuries from the Emergency Department, including osteoporotic fractures, especially those affecting the hip and wrist.

Joanne McKee BHSc. PT

Joanne McKee is a registered Physiotherapist with over 26 years of experience, currently serving as the Director of Therapy Services at Finlandia Village where she developed and expanded a wide range of services including an outpatient physiotherapy clinic, a rehabilitation center specializing in joint replacement recovery, home care physiotherapy, and access to innovative equipment.

Joanne’s professional background spans private clinics, long-term care, and specialized geriatrics and she is a strong advocate for community fall prevention and healthy aging. I strive to raise awareness and provide accessible exercise programs focused on improving strength, balance, and overall mobility empowering older adults to maintain their independence and quality of life.
